HRS Heat Exchangers has taken the smooth tubes out of the ordinary tubular heat exchanger and replaced them with corrugated
tubes. The corrugate tube has the advantage of breaking up the film layer close to the tube wall and induces extra turbulence.
The result is a heat exchanger with higher heat transfer rates than normal smooth tube heat exchangers. This allows us to
design more compact and more economic units. Corrugated tube heat exchangers can be supplied in various types of geometries
for different types of applications.
Imagine applications where fouling is a reason for constantly stopping the process and cleaning the heat exchanger. Imagine
fluids so viscous that the result is very bad heat transfer in the heat exchanger. The solution is the Unicus scraped surface
heat exchanger. It works by cleaning the tube wall constantly and the scraper movement ensures high heat transfer rates.
The Unicus is an ideal solution for the difficult heat transfer applications.
The plate heat exchanger is a solution for the easier heat transfer applications. Where fouling, high pressures, particles
or hygienic design are not an issue, the plate heat exchanger is a very compact and economic solution.
Many years of working with difficult heat transfer solutions in the food industry have taught us that pumping without destroying
product integrity is as important as the heat exchanger that comes after the pump. Reason enough for developing our piston
pump which can handle very delicate and viscous food stuffs. Pumping up to very high pressure without damaging the food
particles is not a problem for our pump. The pump has also been applied very successfully in heavy duty applications for
other industries than the food industry.
