Technical (Designer)

Do you have a passion for technical design and innovation? At HRS Heat Exchangers, we are looking for a Technical Engineer (Designer) to turn conceptual ideas into detailed technical solutions, working closely with Operations, Engineering and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and constraints.
✔ Work with Operations and Engineering teams to align with project objectives.
✔ Create detailed technical designs, drawings, and specifications for engineering projects.
✔ Use CAD software and other tools to produce accurate and thorough technical drawings.
✔ Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
✔ Work with the Engineering team to create prototypes based on design specifications.
✔ Test and analyse prototypes to validate design concepts.
✔ Revise designs based on test results and stakeholder feedback.
✔ Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, decisions, and changes.
✔ Communicate effectively with team members, management, and stakeholders.
✔ Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues when needed.
✔ Stay updated on materials standards and technical specifications.
✔ Continuously improve skills in 3D design software and tools.
✔ Participate in internal meetings focused on process improvement and workflow optimisation.
✔ Maintain close communication with workshop teams to report and resolve issues and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.

Experience: Proven experience as a Technical Design Engineer or similar role.

Skills:

• Proficient in CAD software and design tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Experience with PLM software is desirable.
• Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools is a plus.
