HRS India Provides Energy Efficient Technology for Farming Industry

HRS India has successfully supplied Nagarjuna Fertilisers with a bespoke thermal transfer solution to overcome a challenging fertiliser production application in India. Nagarjuna Fertilisers are one of the most recognised agricultural brands in India and manufacture a broad range of speciality fertilisers to the farming sector.

Energy efficiency in terms of quantum and cost is a key challenge faced by the farming industry. With sustainability high on the agenda, the client approached HRS to design a customised Final Gas Cooler (pictured) manufactured in strict compliance with ASME standards. HRS India proposed a cost effective solution consisting of two HRS Ecoflux corrugated tube heat exchangers, designed in series to meet the client’s processing requirements.

Ecoflux heat exchangers offer optimum utilisation of energy and inhibit fouling tendencies, whilst increasing the rate of heat transfer. The energy efficient heat exchangers will act as a carbon dioxide cooler; which will ensure the effective removal of moisture content from CO2 generated by the fertiliser production process. The carbon dioxide cooler will maximise energy savings and investment; proving highly economical for the end user in the long term.

HRS has further strengthened our position within the Indian farming sector with subsequent orders from Indian Farmer’s Fertiliser Co-operative Ltd. (IFFCO) and Chambal Fertilisers Ltd. The farming industry continues to favour HRS for superior technology suitable for energy efficiency applications.
