Piston Pumps – HRS BP Series
HRS BP Series piston pumps are hydraulically operated positive displacement pumps that transfer mechanical energy as pressure energy. They feature a hygienic design which incorporates a separator fitted between the piston and the hydraulic chamber to ensure that there is no contact between the product chamber and the hydraulic oil. Once the pump is in operation, no part which comes into contact with oil comes into contact with the product.
The hygienic design and suitability for CIP cleaning makes this pump suited to food processing applications where product integrity and shape must be guaranteed. Hence it is especially suited to pumping delicate and viscous fluids and products containing particles with a low shear rate, such as fruit dices.
BP Series pumps are driven by a hydraulic power pack which drives a hydraulic cylinder from alternate directions, moving the piston up and down. The pump housing is split into two chambers, each with an inlet and outlet connection which allows the entry and exit of large particles. It has an adjustable flow, which can range from a minimum of 79 gallons/hour to a maximum of 5283 gallons/hour, and features a high-pressure drop of up to 435 PSI.
Clap valves allow pumping of whole fruits or vegetables, and an Alternative piston pump with a pneumatic cylinder can be supplied for low-pressure applications of less than 72 psi.
The HRS BP Series piston pump is designed to operate in a wide range of applications, including:

It can work under vacuum and can pump up to very high pressures (435 psi maximum).
