At EXPO PACK Mexico City stand 760, HRS Heat Exchangers will showcase its Asepticblock Mini Series – a new skid-mounted unit which combines a pasteurizer or sterilizer system with an aseptic filler for food manufacturers requiring a compact portable solution to complete smaller batch runs.

The Asepticblock Mini Series is designed to sterilize foods for factories producing highly viscous products, and those containing particulates, such as fruit and vegetable purees and pulps, sauces and soup.

International Sales & Marketing Director Matt Hale explains how HRS is quick to respond to food trends: “As consumer needs and tastes continually evolve, we are seeing a rapid increase in food producers needing to complete small batch runs and product development trials. Customers have recently approached us for a compact system which is easy to transport from one production line to the next. The Asepticblock Mini Series also provides a fast return on investment for larger manufacturers looking to share equipment between sites.”

The Asepticblock Mini Series combines all process elements for manufacturers to complete food pasteurization or sterilizing along with an aseptic filler at a work rate of 110 lbs to 1 ton of product per hour.

Utilizing HRS heat exchanger technology means that highly efficient pasteurization or sterilization can be achieved while any undesired side effects from the thermal treatment on the organoleptic or nutritional properties of the product are minimized. Depending on the product/s to be treated, corrugated tube heat exchangers with multi-tube, double tube or annular space configurations can be specified, along with other options such as air removal.

The aseptic filling is based on the proven HRS AF Series of aseptic fillers and provides a highly reliable, high capacity process. Full automatic monitoring and traceability systems are included as standard and the entire system benefits from automatic Cleaning in Place (CIP) systems. Furthermore, no chemicals are required for product sterilization.
